Review: Simple Spotless Skin Rapid Action Spot Zapper

Simple® is well-known for their gentle, kind to skin products. FYI, they have over 50 years experience in caring for even the most sensitive skin. Their skin care products are formulated with only the purest possible ingredients and they have a variety of ranges that suit different skin types and skin problems.

So few months ago, I got their Spotless Skin Rapid Action Spot Zapper (15ml).

It is a pimple treatment that has a perfect blend of spot fighting ingredients and natural anti-bacterial goodness to visibly reduce spot redness and size without irritation to the skin. The following are a more in-depth details on the ingredients content of the Rapid Action Spot Zapper:

The product comes in a squeezable tube with a plastic screw-off cap. It has a roll-on applicator which is easy to use and perfect for on-the-go application. Overall, the product packaging is pretty compact so it's easy to bring around.

Despite it's fragrance-free, it has a very mild scent but nothing artificial. By the way, it's Dermatologically Tested and Approved. Perfect for even sensitive skin~ 

Usage/Directions: Apply directly onto spots as soon as they appear. Repeat application until the spot has disappeared. For optimal results, use it with the rest of the Spotless Skin products.

Tried & Tested!

I have a love-hate relationship with the applicator. The applicator is attached with a roll-on metal ball and it works like a roll-on deodorant which I find it unhygienic. However, the applicator allows a targeted application and it gives a soothing and cooling sensation during application. Each time I roll it on my skin, it releases some transparent liquid which takes a while to get absorbed into my skin after application. It does not leave a very sticky layer hence, in my view, it can be used under makeup as long as you let it gets fully absorbed into your skin prior applying makeup.

As for the effectiveness, it claims to zap spots in just 4 hours but unfortunately, it did not work out as what it claimed to do. In fact, it took more time (counted in days) to heal some (not all) of my non-inflamed zits. Sadly, besides temporarily soothed my inflamed, pus-filled pimples, it did nothing neither did it aggravate them. Thus, in conclusion, I would say...this spot zapper is not effective for my pimples. In my opinion, I think my pimples are kind of like immune to it's "too gentle" formula as my pimples are always treated with Salicylic Acid. P.S.: My pimples need stronger ingredients to deal with... 

In my view, it is really gentle and is a perfect spot treatment for sensitive skin user but I think it is more for people who are in their early stage of growing pimples (e.g. teens) and/or have yet to use Salicylic Acid or any other stronger anti-acne ingredients for a long term. I think it might work out better and might show significant results for such group of people.
